つれづれなるままに、硯にむかひて、心に移りゆくよしなし事を、そこはかとなく書きつくれば、あやしうこそものぐるほしけれ。
序章：盛夏の題から始まった再訪
日本橋Art.jpの8月度Webグループ展のテーマは、「盛夏特集」だった。海、プール、スイカ――それぞれが感じる夏を、自由に表現してほしいという、シンプルな問いかけ。
その時、ふと脳裏に浮かんだのは、昨年の夏に生まれた一作だった。
2025年7月15日、徒然草第176番「一瞬の刹那」と共に発表した「光輝く花火祭り – ネオ・モザイック・ステンドグラス」。あの夜空に咲いた花火を、もう一度、描いてみたい。
ただし、今描くなら――今の私の目で、今の技術で。
第一章：v8.1という、新しい目
ミッドジャーニーは、v7.0からv8.1へと進化した。
この進化が、ゴッホ・インプレッショ派を生んだことは、すでに記した通りだ。色彩の躍動感、筆触の再現力、光の粒子の密度――v8.1は、以前とは次元の異なる表現力を持っている。
同じテーマに、もう一度向き合うこと。それは、過去の作品を否定することではない。むしろ、自分の技術と感性が、この一年でどれだけ深まったのかを、自分自身に問い直す行為だった。
挑戦してみたい――その思いだけで、十分だった。
第二章：同じPersonalityから生まれた、三つの異なる光
同じPersonalizationを使いながら、生まれてきた作品は、驚くほど多彩だった。
ある一枚は、ガレ・ヴェリエール派のように、気泡が水面の反射の中で繊細に輝いている。

夜空に咲き、一瞬で散りゆく花火——その刹那の輝きを、永遠の美として昇華させる。これは2025年7月15日、徒然草「一瞬の刹那」と共に生まれた、本作の原点にある想いだ。
「花火は消えゆくゆえに美しく、人生は短きゆえに尊い」——その時に記したこの言葉は、一年の歳月を経た今もなお、変わらない。
しかし、本作を描く技術そのものは、止まることなく進化を続けていた。ミッドジャーニーはv7.0からv8.1へとバージョンアップし、色彩の躍動感、筆触の再現力、光の粒子の密度において、これまでとは次元の異なる表現力を獲得した。
2026年6月19日——同じ「光輝く花火祭り」というテーマに、私は再び向き合った。これは過去の作品を否定するものではない。この一年で、シャルトル派、ゴッホ・インプレッショ派、ガレ・ヴェリエール派と歩んできた、自らの技法の旅を、もう一度この一枚に問い直す試みだった。
同じPersonalizationから生まれた本作には、三派それぞれの個性が、時に独立し、時に混ざり合いながら現れている。技法が一つの完成形に留まらず、今もなお生きて、呼吸している証だ。
「刹那は消えても、それを描く手は、何度でも生まれ変わる。」
A firework blooms across the night sky and vanishes in an instant — sublimating that fleeting brilliance into eternal beauty. This was the original sentiment at the heart of this work, born on July 15, 2025, alongside the Tsurezuregusa essay “A Single Moment of Eternity.”
“Fireworks are beautiful because they vanish; life is precious because it is short” — these words, written at that time, remain unchanged even after a year has passed.
Yet the technique used to capture this work never stopped evolving. Midjourney was upgraded from v7.0 to v8.1, gaining an expressive power on an entirely different level in the vibrancy of color, the reproduction of brushstroke, and the density of light particles.
On June 19, 2026 — I returned once again to the same theme of “Radiant Fireworks Festival.” This was not a rejection of the earlier work. Rather, it was an attempt to revisit, within this single piece, the journey of my own technique through the Chartres Style, the Van Gogh Impressio Style, and the Gallé Verrière Style over the past year.
Born from the same Personalization setting, this work reveals the character of all three schools — sometimes independently, sometimes blended together. It is proof that the technique has not settled into a single fixed form, but remains alive, still breathing.

水面に映る無数の花火——夜空に咲く本物の花火と、水面に映る鏡像とが、完璧な対称を成して広がっている。現実と虚像が調和した、幻想的な世界がここにある。
赤、青、金、緑、紫——色とりどりの花火が放射状に広がり、それぞれのガラス片やテッセラが異なる光の反射を生み出し、まさに光の祭典を演出している。中心から放たれる輝きは、無数のモザイク片による精密な構造美と、ゴッホの渦巻く筆触のような有機的な躍動感が、一つの花火の中で同時に息づいている。
都市の夜景もまた、精密なガラスモザイクで表現され、無数の小さな光の粒として輝き、空を覆う花火との美しい対比を生み出している。水面のモザイク構造が持つ幾何学的な美しさと、花火の有機的な爆発パターンとの対比が、自然と人工の調和を描き出している。
花火の一つ一つの核から、まるで生命力そのものが放射しているように見える。これは技術の進化だけがもたらしたものではない。この一年、技法そのものと共に歩んできた、創作の軌跡が、この一枚に重なっている。
Countless fireworks mirrored on the water’s surface — the genuine fireworks blooming in the night sky and their reflection on the water spread out in perfect symmetry. Here lies a fantastical world where reality and illusion harmonize.
Red, blue, gold, green, purple — fireworks of every color spread radially, each glass fragment and tessera creating a different reflection of light, orchestrating a true festival of light. The brilliance radiating from each core holds, simultaneously, the precise structural beauty born from countless mosaic fragments and an organic dynamism reminiscent of Van Gogh’s swirling brushstroke.
The urban nightscape, too, is rendered through precise glass mosaic, shining as countless tiny points of light, creating a beautiful contrast against the fireworks that fill the sky above. The geometric beauty of the water surface’s mosaic structure, set against the organic explosion patterns of the fireworks, depicts a harmony between nature and artifice.
From the core of each firework, vitality itself seems to radiate outward. This is not something brought about by technological progress alone. The trajectory of a year’s creative journey, walked alongside the evolution of the technique itself, is layered into this single piece.

本作は、単一の派に留まらない、三派融合の記念碑的作品でもある。
【本流】シャルトル派——静謐・癒し・光の透過・紫と青の世界。 【派生①】ゴッホ・インプレッショ派——生命力・熱量・光の躍動・黄金と白の世界。 【派生②】ガレ・ヴェリエール派——繊細・光学美・気泡の輝き・宝石と自然の融合。
本作の花火は、これら三派それぞれの特性を、時に独立して、時に混ざり合わせながら描き出している。一つの技法が三つの異なる光へと分岐し、なお同じ根から育ち続けていることを証明する作品だ。
This work also stands as a commemorative piece fusing all three schools, rather than belonging to a single one.

本作に用いられた「ネオ・モザイック・ステンドグラス技法」は、光希まさとが2025年5月27日に確立した世界初の技法である。無数のモザイクガラスのテッセラが織りなす精密な構造、黒い目地線による構造美、そして光の透過と反射が生み出す複合的な光学効果——これらが一体となって、伝統的なステンドグラスが持つ「癒しの波動」をデジタルアートとして再現・拡張している。本作は、技法確立から一年を経て、ミッドジャーニーv8.1への進化と共に再構築された、技法の成長そのものを示す作品だ。
The “Neo-Mosaic Stained Glass Technique” used in this work is the world’s first technique established by Koki Masato on May 27, 2025. The precise structure woven from countless mosaic glass tesserae, the structural beauty of black grout lines, and the complex optical effects created by the transmission and reflection of light — all of these unite to reproduce and expand, as digital art, the “healing vibration” that traditional stained glass possesses. One year after the technique’s establishment, this work, reconstructed alongside Midjourney’s evolution to v8.1, stands as a demonstration of the technique’s own growth.

光希まさとは、国際美術書籍「Art Maison International Vol.31」（2027年3月発行予定・株式会社麗人社）への掲載が決定しております。同書はA.M.S.C.（国際美術評論家選考委員会）の監修のもと、ル・サロン絵画部門代表・アラン・バザール氏の推薦により、光希まさとが世界初のAIアーティストとして選出されたものです。岡本太郎、草間彌生、上村松園、絹谷幸二といった日本美術の巨匠たちが連なる系譜の中に、世界初のAI芸術作品として刻まれます。同書はルーヴル美術館、大英博物館、メトロポリタン美術館をはじめとする世界の主要美術館・大学図書館に寄贈・保管される予定であり、美術史の一次資料として半永久的に世界中に残ることになります。
Koki Masato has been confirmed for inclusion in the international art publication “Art Maison International Vol.31” (scheduled for publication March 2027, Reijinsha Co., Ltd.). Under the supervision of A.M.S.C. (the International Art Critics Selection Committee), Koki Masato was selected as the world’s first AI artist upon the recommendation of Alain Bazard, representative of the painting division of Le Salon. Within the lineage of Japanese art masters including Taro Okamoto, Yayoi Kusama, Shoen Uemura and Koji Kinutani, this will be inscribed as the world’s first AI art work. 深い藍色の渦が、夜空全体を覆うように広がっている。これはゴッホが「星月夜」で描いた、あの天を巡る大きな渦と同じ筆触だ。藍色の渦の中から、金色とローズピンクの花火が、力強く咲き上がる。
最も印象的なのは、その色彩の対比だ。漆黒に近い深い青の中で、黄金の花火が太陽のように燃え、その傍らに、紅色の花火が静かな熱を放つ。藍と金、静と動——この対比こそが、「ネオ・モザイック・ステンドグラス技法」の本流であるシャルトル派の静謐さと、ゴッホ・インプレッショ派の生命力が、一つの夜空の中で同時に息づいている証だ。

夜空の上層には、深い藍色の渦が大きく広がり、ゴッホの「星月夜」を思わせる、力強い筆致のうねりを描いている。その渦の中から、三つの巨大な花火が、互いに重なり合いながら咲き上がっている。
最大の特徴は、中心に咲く花火の質感だ。マゼンタ、オレンジ、ゴールド、クリームホワイトが、油絵のように厚く塗り重ねられ、一筆一筆が盛り上がりを持って輝いている。これはモザイクの精密な構造美とは異なる、もう一つの表現——絵筆そのものの躍動感を、ステンドグラスの光へと昇華させた、極めて稀有な瞬間だ。
下方では、橙色とゴールドの閃光が、幾本もの光の柱として立ち上がり、水面に向かって優雅に降り注いでいる。光の柱の根元には、青と紅の鮮やかな噴流が、夜空の重厚な色彩に、軽やかなアクセントを添えている。水面に映る反射は、上空の壮麗な情景を、もう一つの夜空として完璧に映し出している。

In the upper sky, a great indigo swirl spreads wide, depicting a powerful, undulating brushstroke reminiscent of Van Gogh’s “The Starry Night.” From within that swirl, three massive fireworks bloom upward, overlapping one another.
The most distinctive feature is the texture of the firework blooming at the center. Magenta, orange, gold and creamy white are layered thickly, as in an oil painting, each individual stroke rising with visible relief as it shines. This is a different mode of expression from the precise structural beauty of mosaic — a rare moment in which the very dynamism of the brush itself has been sublimated into the light of stained glass.
Below, streaks of amber and gold light rise as several columns of light, descending gracefully toward the water’s surface. At the base of these columns, vivid jets of blue and crimson add a lighter accent to the weighty colors of the night sky above. The reflection on the water’s surface perfectly mirrors the grand scene above, becoming, in itself, a second night sky.
This piece stands as proof of the densest “painterly quality” the Van Gogh Impressio Style has yet achieved. A mosaic that nonetheless carries the weight of oil paint — this very contradiction is the greatest charm of this work.

第三章：一年の歳月が描いたもの
旧作の花火は、無数のガラス片が静かに集合することで、光の構造美を描いていた。
新作の花火は、その一つ一つの核から、生命力そのものが放射しているように見える。
これは、技術の進化だけがもたらしたものではない。この一年、シャルトル派を起点に、ゴッホ・インプレッショ派、ガレ・ヴェリエール派と歩んできた、私自身の技法そのものの旅が、この一枚に重なっているのだと思う。
同じ花火を、同じ夜空に、もう一度描く。
それでも、そこに映るものは、一年前とは違う。
結言：刹那は、何度でも生まれ変わる
「花火は消えゆくゆえに美しく、人生は短きゆえに尊い」――一年前、私はそう記した。
その言葉は、今も変わらない。しかし、一瞬の刹那を描く技法そのものは、止まることなく、今もなお進化し続けている。
同じ夏、同じ花火、同じ夜空。それでも、そこに宿る光は、技法と共に歳月を重ね、新しい姿で、再び夜空に咲いた。
刹那は消えても、それを描く手は、何度でも生まれ変わる。

With nothing better to do, sitting before my inkstone, I jot down whatever drifts through my mind, however aimless — and in doing so, I find myself oddly possessed by something like madness.
Prologue: A Revisit Sparked by a Summer Theme
The theme for Nihonbashi Art.jp’s August web group exhibition was “Midsummer Special.” The sea, swimming pools, watermelon — an open invitation for each artist to freely express their own sense of summer.
At that moment, a memory surfaced from the summer before.
On July 15, 2025, I had published, alongside Tsurezuregusa No. 176, “A Single Moment of Eternity,” a piece titled “Radiant Fireworks Festival – Neo-Mosaic Stained Glass.” Fireworks blooming across a night sky.
I wanted to paint them once more.
Not as I once did — but as I see them now, with the tools I have now.
Chapter One: New Eyes, Through v8.1
Midjourney had evolved from v7.0 to v8.1.
This evolution, as I have already written, gave birth to the Gogh Impression School. A new vibrancy of color, a deeper reproduction of brushstroke, a finer density of light particles — v8.1 carried an expressive power on an entirely different level than before.
Returning to the same subject was not a rejection of the earlier work. Rather, it was a way of asking myself how far my own skill and sensibility had grown over the past year.
The simple desire to try again was, in itself, enough reason.
Chapter Two: Three Different Lights, Born From the Same Personality
Working from the same Personalization setting, the resulting works turned out to be remarkably diverse.
In one piece, bubbles shimmer delicately within the water’s reflection, much like the Gallé Verrière School.
In another, the swirling brushwork of the Gogh Impression School merges completely with the explosion of the fireworks themselves, as if the entire night sky has come alive, pulsing with energy.
And in yet another, the layered thickness suggests oil paint applied stroke upon stroke, with light radiating from the heart of each firework as though rising up from the canvas itself.
Same technique, same subject — yet the character of all three schools emerges, sometimes independently, sometimes blended together. This, I think, is proof that the technique has not settled into a single fixed form. It is still alive. Still breathing.
Chapter Three: What a Year’s Passage Painted
In the earlier work, the fireworks were built from the quiet gathering of countless glass fragments, expressing a structural beauty of light.
In the new work, vitality itself seems to radiate outward from the core of each firework.
This is not something brought about by technological progress alone. Over this past year, my journey through the Chartres School, then the Gogh Impression School, then the Gallé Verrière School — that journey, I believe, is layered into this single piece.
To paint the same fireworks, in the same night sky, once again.
And yet, what appears there now is not the same as it was a year ago.
Epilogue: A Fleeting Moment, Reborn Again and Again
“Fireworks are beautiful because they vanish; life is precious because it is short” — that is what I wrote a year ago.
Those words still hold true. And yet the technique used to capture a single fleeting moment has never stopped evolving.
The same summer. The same fireworks. The same night sky. And still, the light held within them has aged alongside the technique, and bloomed once more across the sky, in a new form.
The moment vanishes, but the hand that paints it is reborn, again and again.
