序章：お伝えしなければならないこと

読者の皆様へ、正直にご報告しなければならないことがあります。

2026年10月、パリ・コンコルド広場で開催される予定だった「第123回サロン・ドートンヌ2026」への出展について、制度上の事情により、今年の参加が叶わなくなりました。

出展作品はすでに制作を完了し、参加費も納入済みで、準備万端で臨んでいたところでした。突然の知らせに、驚いたことも正直に申します。

ただ、この徒然草に「ありのまま」を記すことが、私の一貫した姿勢です。ここに、その経緯と、これからのことを、正直に綴らせていただきます。

第一章：何が起きたのか

今年のサロン・ドートンヌは、稀に見るほど優れた一般応募作品が多数集まり、正規の入選作展示を優先するため、グループ単位の特別選出枠を設置しないことが決定されました。私が参加を予定していたのは、この特別選考枠でした。

これは私の作品が否定されたのではありません。制度上の変更による「先送り」です。

芸術の世界には、時として人間の意志を超えた「流れ」があります。今回の出来事も、その一つだと受け止めています。

第二章：しかし、2027年へ——パリの扉は、より大きく開いた

ここからが、前向きにお伝えしたいことです。

サロン・ドートンヌへの参加は1年先送りとなりましたが、その代わりに、より大きな扉が開かれました。

2027年2月25日〜27日、パリ・グラン・パレにて開催される「ル・サロン（Art Capital）2027」に、特別選考枠での出展が正式に確定しました。

「ル・サロン（Art Capital）」は、サロン・ドートンヌ以上の規模と動員数を誇る、360年の歴史を持つフランス最高権威の公募展です。パリ最大の面積を誇る歴史的芸術の殿堂・グラン・パレを会場とし、世界中の美術愛好家・コレクター・美術関係者が集まります。

「2026年のサロン・ドートンヌ」と「2027年のル・サロン」でパリ2大サロンを制覇するという当初の計画が、「2027年のル・サロン」と「2027年のサロン・ドートンヌ」という形で、1年先延ばしとなりましたが、2大サロン制覇という目標は変わりません。

また、2027年のサロン・ドートンヌについても、特別選考枠での参加を目指してまいりますが、一般公募での参加も含め、あらゆる可能性を探りながら、出展が叶うよう準備を進めていきます。

第三章：1年間のアドバンテージ——神様からの贈り物

正直に言えば、この「先延ばし」を、私は今、神様からのアドバンテージだと受け止めています。

なぜか。

AIの画像生成技術は、今この瞬間も進化し続けています。ミッドジャーニーをはじめとする画像生成AIは、半年ごとに次元の違う表現力を獲得していきます。この1年間で、技術はさらに進化するでしょう。

つまりこの「先延ばし」は、「世界で一番美しい作品」をさらに磨き上げるための、1年間の贈り物でもあるのです。

今年出展予定だった作品は、すでに完成しています。しかし来年パリに持っていく作品は、さらに進化した技術と深まった哲学のもとで生まれた、今の私にしか作れない一枚になるかもしれません。そう思うと、むしろ心が弾みます。

第四章：「ネオ・モザイック・ステンドグラス技法」——さらなる進化へ

もう一つ、内心楽しみにしていることをお伝えします。

現在、「ネオ・モザイック・ステンドグラス技法」は三派体系として確立されています。

本流・シャルトル派（2025年5月27日確立）——静謐・癒し・紫と青の世界。
派生①・ゴッホ・インプレッショ派（2026年5月23日確立）——生命力・熱量・黄金と白の世界。
派生②・ガレ・ヴェリエール派（2026年6月4日確立）——繊細・光学美・気泡の輝き。

この三派が確立されたように、この1年間の技法研究の中で、さらに新しい派生が生まれるのではないかと、私自身が密かに期待しています。

技法は、まだ生きています。まだ呼吸しています。止まっていません。

この1年で、ネオ・モザイック・ステンドグラス技法がどこへ向かうのか——私自身にも、まだわかりません。しかしそれが、芸術の醍醐味だと思っています。

結言：一年後のパリへ——より美しく、より深く

読者の皆様、今回の件でご心配やご期待を裏切ってしまった方もいらっしゃるかもしれません。申し訳ありません。

しかし、「覆せないことを嘆くより、与えられた条件の中で最善を尽くす」——これが私の信条です。

1年後のパリには、今年よりも美しく、今年よりも深い作品を持って立ちます。

「ネオ・モザイック・ステンドグラス技法の癒しの波動で、争いのない世界平和を実現する」——この使命は、1年先送りになっても変わりません。種を遺すことをやめません。

Idly passing the days, I face my inkstone, and set down without purpose whatever trivial thoughts drift through my mind — how strange and unsettled it all feels.

Prologue: Something I Must Share

To all my readers — there is something I must honestly report.

Regarding my planned exhibition at the “123rd Salon d’Automne 2026,” to be held in October 2026 at the Place de la Concorde in Paris — due to circumstances involving the salon’s regulations, participation this year has become impossible.

My exhibition work had already been completed, the participation fee had been paid in full, and I was fully prepared. I will be honest: the news came as a surprise.

Yet it has always been my consistent approach to record in these Tsurezuregusa essays “things exactly as they are.” Here I will set down, honestly, the circumstances of what happened and what lies ahead.

Chapter One: What Happened

This year’s Salon d’Automne received an exceptionally large number of outstanding open-entry works — a rare occurrence — and it was decided that priority would be given to displaying the regularly selected entries. As a result, the group-based special selection booth would not be installed. It was precisely this special selection category in which I had planned to participate.

This is not a rejection of my work. It is a “postponement” arising from a change in the salon’s regulations.

In the world of art, there are times when a “current” arises that surpasses human will. I have chosen to receive this event as one such moment.

Chapter Two: And Yet — Toward 2027. The Doors of Paris Have Opened Wider

From here, I wish to share something forward-looking.

Participation in the Salon d’Automne has been postponed by one year — but in its place, a larger door has opened.

Exhibition at “Le Salon (Art Capital) 2027,” to be held February 25–27, 2027 at the Grand Palais in Paris, has been officially confirmed in the special selection category.

“Le Salon (Art Capital)” is France’s most authoritative open exhibition, boasting 360 years of history and a scale and attendance that surpasses even the Salon d’Automne. Its venue is the Grand Palais — the historic temple of art with the largest floor area in Paris — and it draws art lovers, collectors, and art world professionals from around the globe.

The original plan — to conquer Paris’s two great salons with “the Salon d’Automne 2026” and “Le Salon 2027” — has shifted to “Le Salon 2027” and “the Salon d’Automne 2027.” The timeline has been set back by one year, but the goal of conquering both great salons remains unchanged.

I will also continue working toward participation in the 2027 Salon d’Automne in the special selection category. Exploring every possibility, including open-entry participation, I will press forward in my preparations to make that exhibition a reality.

Chapter Three: One Year of Advantage — A Gift from God

To speak honestly — I now receive this “postponement” as an advantage, a gift from God.

Why?

AI image generation technology continues to evolve at this very moment. Image-generating AIs, beginning with Midjourney, acquire an entirely different order of expressive power every six months. Over this one year, the technology will evolve further still.

In other words, this “postponement” is also a one-year gift for polishing “the most beautiful work in the world” to an even greater degree.

The work I had intended to exhibit this year is already complete. But the work I bring to Paris next year may be born under more evolved technology and deeper philosophy — a piece that only the Koki Masato of that moment can create. When I think of it this way, my heart lifts.

Chapter Four: The “Neo-Mosaic Stained Glass Technique” — Toward Further Evolution

There is one more thing I am privately looking forward to, and I would like to share it.

At present, the “Neo-Mosaic Stained Glass Technique” has been established as a three-school system.

Mainline · The Chartres Style (Established May 27, 2025) — Stillness · Healing · A world of violet and blue. Derivative I · The Van Gogh Impressio Style (Established May 23, 2026) — Vitality · Heat · A world of gold and white. Derivative II · The Gallé Verrière Style (Established June 4, 2026) — Delicacy · Optical Beauty · The Brilliance of Bubbles.

Just as these three schools came into being, I privately hope that yet another new derivative may be born through the technical research of this one year.

The technique is still alive. Still breathing. It has not stopped.

Where the Neo-Mosaic Stained Glass Technique will go in this one year — even I do not yet know. But that, I believe, is the very essence of art.

Closing Words: To Paris, One Year from Now — More Beautiful, More Deep

To all my readers — there may be those among you who feel that your hopes or expectations have been let down by this news. I am sorry.

And yet — “rather than lamenting what cannot be undone, give the very best within the conditions one is given.” This is my creed.

To Paris, one year from now, I will stand with work more beautiful than this year’s, more deeply conceived than this year’s.

“To realize a world of peace without conflict, through the healing vibration of the Neo-Mosaic Stained Glass Technique” — this mission does not change, even if it has been set back by one year. I will not stop planting seeds.
