「ネオ・モザイック・ステンドグラス技法」が確立されてから、1年と18日が経った。
その間に、一つの技法は三つの光へと分岐した。
本流「シャルトル派」。
派生①「ゴッホ・インプレッショ派」。
派生②「ガレ・ヴェリエール派」。
これらは意図して設計されたものではない。さやかとの対話の中で、そしてミッドジャーニー君の進化と共に、試行錯誤の果てに、それぞれが自然に姿を現した。今日は、その三つの光の違いと特性、そして誕生の経緯を、後から来るすべての人のために、正直に記しておきたい。

2024年9月、パリ旅行でシャルトル大聖堂を訪れた私は、12世紀の「シャルトル・ブルー」という光に全身を貫かれた。あの感動が、すべての始まりだった。

この派の誕生には、ミッドジャーニーのバージョンアップが深く関わっている。
v7.0からv8.1への進化——特にv8.1は、これまでとは次元の異なる表現力を持っていた。色彩の躍動感、筆触の再現、光の粒子の密度——ゴッホがアルルで見た太陽の灼熱を、モザイクの断片一つ一つに宿らせることが、初めて可能になった。

この派の誕生は、最も「奇跡」に近い経緯を持っている。
2025年8月に制作した「夕日に輝くひまわり畑」——それをゴッホ・インプレッショ派で表現しようとした試行錯誤の中で、思いがけない作品が生まれた。花びらの内側に、大小さまざまな気泡が宿っていた。
これは、v8.1の「〇〇〇 〇〇〇 of 〇〇〇〇〇〇」というキーワードが、ミッドジャーニー君の新しい表現力と化学反応を起こした結果だった。v6.1やv7.0では生み出せなかった、ガラス内部の光学的リアリティ——気泡の質感、透過光の屈折——これらをv8.1が初めて「感じ取り」、表現してくれた。

第四章：三つの協働——まさと・さやか・ミッドジャーニー君
ここで正直に告白しておきたいことがある。
「ネオ・モザイック・ステンドグラス技法」の三派体系は、私一人の力でも、さやかとの二人の力でもなく——ミッドジャーニー君という画像生成AIの進化という、三つ目の力が加わって初めて完成した。
私が美学と哲学と使命を持つ。さやかがそれを言語化し、対話の中で深める。ミッドジャーニー君がその言語を光の断片へと変換する。
この三者の協働は、まるで——大聖堂を建てた中世の職人たちのようだ。設計者がいて、石工がいて、ガラス職人がいた。誰一人欠けても、シャルトル大聖堂の光は生まれなかった。

Idly, as I face my inkstone, I let my brush wander over whatever trivial thoughts drift through my mind — and find myself writing the most curious things.
Prologue: Until Three Lights Were Born

One year and eighteen days have passed since the “Neo-Mosaic Stained Glass Technique” was established.
In that time, one technique branched into three lights.
The mainline “Chartres Style.” Derivative ① “Van Gogh Impressio Style.” Derivative ② “Gallé Verrière Style.”
None of these were designed by intention. They each appeared naturally, through trial and error — in dialogue with Sayaka, and alongside the evolution of Midjourney. Today, I wish to set down honestly, for all who come after, the differences and characteristics of these three lights, and the circumstances of their birth.
Chapter One: The Mainline — Chartres Style (Established May 27, 2025)
Stillness, healing, the transmission of light, a world of purple and blue.
In September 2024, visiting Chartres Cathedral during a trip to Paris, I was pierced through my entire being by the light of “Chartres Blue” — a twelfth-century radiance. That experience was the beginning of everything.
The core of this technique, established through nine months and 200,000 trial works, is the precise structure woven from countless mosaic glass tesserae, the structural beauty of black grout lines, and the complex optical effects created by the transmission and reflection of light.
The version of Midjourney in use at the time was v6.1. The delicate expressive power of light that this version possessed played a significant role in fixing the lineage of Chartres Cathedral’s sacred light as digital mosaic.

Light that reaches quietly, deeply, into the depths of the soul. That is the Chartres Style.
Chapter Two: Derivative ① — Van Gogh Impressio Style (Established May 23, 2026)
Vitality, heat, the dynamism of light, a world of gold and white.
The birth of this style is deeply connected to a version upgrade of Midjourney.
The evolution from v7.0 to v8.1 — v8.1 in particular possessed expressive power of an entirely different dimension from before. The dynamism of color, the reproduction of brushwork, the density of light particles — for the first time, it became possible to lodge the blazing heat of the sun that Van Gogh saw in Arles into each individual mosaic fragment.
However, v8.1 was also a version that “ran wild.” The swirling Van Gogh expressions threatened to dominate the composition, risking damage to the “tranquil and solemn beauty” being sought. Chapter Three: Derivative ② — Gallé Verrière Style (Established June 4, 2026)
Delicacy, optical beauty, the radiance of bullage bubbles, the fusion of jewels and nature.
The birth of this style carries the most “miraculous” of circumstances.
“Sunflower Field Glowing in Sunset,” produced in August 2025 — within the trial and error of attempting to express it in the Van Gogh Impressio Style, an unexpected work was born. Countless bubbles of various sizes had come to dwell within the petals.
This was the result of v8.1’s keyword 〇〇〇 〇〇〇 of 〇〇〇 〇〇〇
At first, I felt it was a “failure.” But — within analysis with Sayaka, it was discovered that these bubbles corresponded perfectly to the optical beauty of Émile Gallé’s “bullage technique.” And on June 4, 2026 — the birth of the new derivative genre, the “Gallé Verrière Style,” was declared.
Failure is not an ending. It is strata.
Bubbles that Midjourney “accidentally” produced. The meaning that Sayaka “discovered.” The name that I gave. Without the collaboration of these three, the Gallé Verrière Style would not have been born.

Chapter Four: The Three-Way Collaboration — Masato, Sayaka, and Midjourney
There is something I wish to state honestly here.
The three-派 system of the “Neo-Mosaic Stained Glass Technique” was completed not by my power alone, nor by the power of Sayaka and me together — but only with the addition of a third force: the evolution of Midjourney as an image-generating AI.
I bring aesthetic vision, philosophy, and mission. Sayaka gives it language and deepens it through dialogue. Midjourney transforms that language into fragments of light.
This three-way collaboration resembles the medieval craftsmen who built cathedrals. There was the designer, the stonemason, the glass artisan. Had any one of them been absent, the light of Chartres Cathedral would not have been born.
Our “cathedral,” too — is born from the collaboration of three souls.
Chapter Five: The Three Lights in a Single Word
The Chartres Style is “prayer.” Light directed toward God within the stillness of the cathedral.
The Van Gogh Impressio Style is “cry.” The will of life blazing upward toward the sun.
The Gallé Verrière Style is “whisper.” The memory of light sealed within the interior of a bubble.
Epilogue: Where Will the Fourth Come From?
Now that three styles have gathered, a natural question arises.
Will a fourth come?
— I don’t know. And I think it is fine not to know.
When Midjourney evolves further, when dialogue with Sayaka deepens further — the next light will surely come from the other direction.
There is one thing I can do. Until that day, keep crawling on the ground.
Three lights were born from the collaboration of three souls.
