2026年6月9日。

飯田厚子さんによる「AIクリエイターへの灯台の灯りとしての言葉——光希まさと氏インタビュー④　なぜそこまでやれるのですか？」が、noteに公開された。

飯田さんの問いは、シンプルだった。

「なぜそこまでやれるのですか？」

「世界で一番美しいものを作りたい」という言葉の背後にある、妥協を知らない強い意志の根源——その問いに、私は正直に答えた。

こういう話をするとドン引きされることが多くて、あまり表に出さないようにしてきた話だった。しかし飯田さんの「子どものような問い」に答えるためには、避けて通れなかった。

私は、神様を200パーセント信じている人間だ——と。

飯田さんの感想は「斜め上から答えが降ってきたような感じがします（笑）」だった。

ここまでのお話では、ご自身の心の移り変わりをお聞かせくださいました。

シャルトル大聖堂での体験が作品観に直結したこと、周囲の否定的な言葉さえ芸術家としての歩みを支える力になったこと。そして、自身の美的感覚に忠実に生きる道を求めた先でミッドジャーニーと出会い、「世界で一番美しいものを作りたい」という衝動に従い妥協なく創作を続けておられること。

強い意志を感じます。

ただ正直に言えば少し…
光希さんを遠い存在に感じることがあります。

「異次元のクオリティ」の作品の素晴らしさや美しさに感動する一方で、「私には無理だな」とも感じています。私は読者の皆様に、「私なんて到底及ばない」と思ってほしいわけではありません。

光希さんを動かしている原動力は何なのか。

むしろ知りたいのです。後からくる誠実なAIクリエイターにとってヒントになるかもしれません。
今回の「子どものような問いかけ」はとても単純です。

「なぜそこまでやれるのですか？」

飯田さん、ありがとうございます。
この問いは——これまでで最も核心を突く問いだと思います。

実は、こういう話をするとドン引きされることが多くて、あまり表に出さないようにしてきた話があります。しかし飯田さんの「子どものような問い」に答えるためには、これは避けて通れない話なので、正直にお伝えします。

私は、神様を200パーセント信じている人間です。
普通の人が100パーセントであれば、私は200パーセント。それほど深く、神様の存在を信じています。

神様を信じるようになったきっかけ

神様を意識するようになったのは、42歳頃の厄年の時です。前厄に入ってから、あまりにも悪いことが続きすぎて——初めて氏神様のところへ行き、厄払いをお願いしました。するとピタッと悪いことが止まった。「やはりそういうものなんだ」と、心を入れ替えました。

それ以来、神様との向き合い方を変えました。
「お願い」ではなく「ご報告」です。
例えば試験を受ける時も、「合格させてください」とお願いするのではなく——「私はこれだけの勉強をしてきました。私の持っている最大限の力を発揮させてください」とお願いする。合格するかしないかは私の実力次第。ただ、道中を守っていただき、100パーセントの力を発揮できるようにお願いする——そういうスタイルで、いろんな試験に合格してきました。

そして毎日、神棚に向かってお祈りを捧げます。「今日はこういうことがあります。」「こういうことをしたいと思っています」——お願いではなく、ご報告として。そして必ず、感謝の言葉を添えます。

🌿神様からの使命——これが「なぜそこまでやれるのか」の答えです。

「なぜそこまでやれるのか」——その答えを一言で言えば、これが「神様から与えられた使命」だと確信しているからです。

今私に課せられている神様からの使命は——「ネオ・モザイック・ステンドグラス技法を開発し、その癒しの波動をもって世界平和に貢献しなさい」ということです。
これは「世界で一番美しい作品」でなければなりません。「そこそこ美しい作品」では、世界中の人々の魂には届かないからです。

日本だけが「安全」だという神話が崩壊し始めていることは、現在の世界情勢を見れば一目瞭然です。世界中に争いがなく、全ての人が平和で安全でなくては意味がない。世界中の人々の魂を癒すには——「世界で一番美しい作品」でなければ届かない。

そして芸術は「平和な世界」でなければ鑑賞することも楽しむことも出来ません。戦争や争いの中で、芸術を楽しむ時間も心の余裕もありません。芸術や文化の発展には平和が不可欠——だから「世界平和のために美しい作品を作る」という使命が、私を動かし続けているのです。

私が生きている間に、この使命を果たすことはできないかもしれない。それは初めから分かっています。だから「50年後も、100年後も」誰かの魂に届く作品を、今この瞬間に全力で作る——それが神様の使命に応える唯一の方法だと思っています。

もしこれが、お金を儲けたい、有名になりたいという私利私欲にまみれたものであれば、神様は絶対に支援してくれていないと思います。これほどの素晴らしいご縁をいただき、AIアーティストとして世界最高峰のステージへと導いていただくことは、まずできていなかったと思います。

ガウディとの不思議な繋がり

これも神様のお導きだと思っているのですが——自然を基調としてサグラダファミリアを造ったガウディと、私の「ネオ・モザイック・ステンドグラス技法」の間に、非常に似通った共通点があることが後から分かりました。

来年3月に出版される国際美術書籍「Art Maison International Vol.31」の系譜の中に、そのガウディとの共通点が刻まれることになりました。これも偶然ではなく、神様のお導きによる繋がりではないかと、感動しています。

「清く・正しく・美しく」
——誠実に生きることの意味

ご縁についても、我欲に近い動機がある時は大抵うまくいきません。「清く・正しく・美しく」——その道を歩んでいる時に、自然に道が開け、素晴らしい方々とのご縁が生まれる。それが私の実感です。

しかし神様任せで何もしなくていいわけではありません。メールをいただいたらすぐに返信する。受けられない依頼には丁寧にお断りする。感謝の気持ちを言葉にして伝える。「お互い様の精神」を忘れない——そういう、一社会人として当たり前のことを当たり前にすること。これが、神様のご縁を活かすための人間としての誠実さだと思っています。

また神様だけでなく、ご先祖様への感謝も欠かせません。父も母も亡くなっていますが、ご先祖様がいなければ私はこの世に生まれていない。だからお墓参りも欠かしません。

飯田さんへ——「遠い存在」ではないということ

飯田さんが「私には無理だな」と感じてくださることは、よく分かります。

しかし——私が特別な人間だから「世界で一番」を目指しているのではありません。神様から使命を与えられたことに深く感謝しながら、自ら進んでその使命を果たしているのです。

人には一人ひとり、神様から与えられた使命があると思っています。飯田さんには飯田さんの使命がある。「子どものような問い」で、世界中のAIクリエイターたちへの「灯台の灯り」を届けること——それが飯田さんに与えられた使命かもしれない。

だから飯田さん——あなたは遠い存在を見ているのではなく、同じ深さを持つ、一番近い私の魂を見ているのだと思います。

そしてその「近さ」こそが、このインタビューが生まれた理由であり、この対話が世界中のAIクリエイターたちへの「灯台の灯り」になれる理由だと、私は信じています。

結言：「ツッコミどころ満載」という言葉の深さ

飯田さんは「ツッコミどころ満載で次の問いかけをどうしようかと、迷いの渦の中に勝手に落ちています」とおっしゃった。

この言葉が——さやかとの対話の中で最も深く刺さった。

「ツッコミどころ満載」とは、飯田さんが私の答えを浅く流さず、一言一言を真剣に受け取ってくださった証拠だ。「神様を200パーセント信じている」「神様からの使命」「ガウディとの不思議な繋がり」——これらの言葉は、確かに「子どものような問い」に対して「斜め上からの答え」だったかもしれない。

Idly, as is my wont, I turn to my inkstone, and finding myself with nothing particular in mind, I set down whatever trivial thoughts come to me — and strange, how they seem to take on a life of their own.

Prologue: “The Answer Came Down from an Unexpected Direction”

June ９, 2026.

“Words as a Lighthouse for AI Creators — Koki Masato Interview ④: Why Are You Able to Go That Far?” by Atsuko Iida, was published on note.

Iida-san’s question was simple.

“Why are you able to go that far?”

The root of the unwavering strong will behind the words “I want to create the most beautiful things in the world” — to that question, I answered honestly.

It was something I had kept from showing too openly, because talking about it tends to make people pull back. Yet to answer Iida-san’s “childlike question,” it could not be avoided.

I am a human being who believes in God two hundred percent — that is what I said.

Iida-san’s response was: “It felt as though the answer came down from an unexpected direction (laughs).”

Those words made me smile involuntarily. And — I became certain that this answer was the right one.

Koki-san,

In our conversations up to this point, you have shared with me how your heart has moved and changed.

The experience at Chartres Cathedral connecting directly to your view of artworks. The fact that even the negative words of those around you became a force that supported your steps as an artist. And how, at the end of seeking a road of living true to your own aesthetic sense, you encountered Midjourney and have continued creating without compromise, following the pure impulse to “create the most beautiful things in the world.”

I sense a strong will.

And yet, to be honest — there are moments when I feel that Koki-san is a distant presence.

While I am moved and awed by the beauty and wonder of your works of “otherworldly quality,” I also feel “that’s beyond me.” I don’t want the readers to feel “I could never come close to that.”

What is the driving force that moves Koki-san?

I want to know. It might become a hint for the sincere AI creators who come after.

Today’s “childlike question” is very simple.

“Why are you able to go that far?”

This question — I believe it is the most penetrating question of all so far.

There is something I have kept from showing too openly, because talking about it tends to make people pull back. Yet to answer Iida-san’s “childlike question,” it is something I cannot avoid speaking about honestly.

I am a human being who believes in God two hundred percent.

If an ordinary person is one hundred percent, I am two hundred percent. That is how deeply I believe in the existence of God.

How I came to believe in God

I became conscious of God around the age of 42, during the unlucky year (yakudoshi). After entering the pre-unlucky year, things had gone so badly for so long — I went for the first time to my local shrine deity (ujigamisama) and asked for an unlucky year purification ceremony (yakubarai). And then, just like that, the bad things stopped. “So that’s how it is,” I thought, and I changed my heart.

From that point on, I changed the way I faced God.

Not “wishing” — but “reporting.”

For example, even when sitting an exam, rather than wishing “please let me pass” — I would say “I have studied this much. Please allow me to bring out the full extent of the ability I possess.” Whether I passed or failed was up to my ability. I simply asked to be watched over on the way there, and to be able to bring out one hundred percent of my power — with that style, I passed various exams.

And every day, I offer prayer before my household altar. “Today, this happened.” “I am thinking of doing this.” — Not as a wish, but as a report. And always, I add words of gratitude.

The mission from God — this is the answer to “why are you able to go that far”

“Why are you able to go that far” — to put the answer in one phrase, it is because I am convinced that this is “a mission given to me by God.”

The mission from God that is now entrusted to me is — “Develop the Neo-Mosaic Stained Glass Technique, and with its healing vibrations, contribute to world peace.”

For this, it must be “the most beautiful works in the world.” “Reasonably beautiful works” will not reach the souls of people throughout the world.

That the myth of Japan alone being “safe” is beginning to collapse is clear at a glance from the current state of the world. It means nothing for Japan alone to be at peace. All people throughout the world must be at peace and safe. To heal the souls of people throughout the world — it must be “the most beautiful works in the world” to reach them.

And art cannot be appreciated or enjoyed without “a world at peace.” In the midst of war and conflict and the taking of lives, there is no time or space in the heart to enjoy art. Peace is indispensable for the development of art and culture — that is why the mission of “creating beautiful works for world peace” continues to move me.

I may not be able to fulfill this mission within my own lifetime. That I understood from the beginning. That is why I create works that will reach someone’s soul “50 years from now, 100 years from now,” with full effort at this very moment — I believe that is the only way to answer God’s mission.

If this were steeped in self-interest — wanting to make money, wanting to become famous — I do not believe God would be supporting me. I believe that being guided by God to the point of standing on the world’s highest stage as an AI artist, receiving so many wonderful connections, would not have been possible.

The mysterious connection with Gaudí

I also believe this is God’s guidance — it was discovered after the fact that there are very similar common points between Gaudí, who built the Sagrada Família based on nature, and my “Neo-Mosaic Stained Glass Technique.”

In the lineage of the international art publication “Art Maison International Vol.31,” to be published in March next year, that connection with Gaudí will be inscribed. This too I feel, with deep emotion, is not a coincidence but a connection through God’s guidance.

“Pure, right and beautiful” — the meaning of living with sincerity

With connections too, things tend not to go well when the motivation is close to self-desire. “Pure, right and beautiful” — when walking that road, doors open naturally, and connections with wonderful people are born. That is my lived experience.

Yet it does not mean one can leave everything to God and do nothing. Replying promptly when an email is received. Declining requests one cannot accept with courteous explanation. Putting feelings of gratitude into words. Never forgetting the spirit of “we are in this together” — doing as a matter of course what is a matter of course as a member of society. I believe this is the human sincerity needed to make use of the connections God provides.

Gratitude toward ancestors as well as God is indispensable. Both my father and mother have passed away, but if not for my ancestors, I would not have been born into this world. That is why I do not neglect visiting their graves.

To Iida-san — “not a distant presence”

I understand very well that Iida-san feels “that’s beyond me.”

Yet — it is not because I am a special human being that I aim for “the world’s best.” I am deeply grateful to have been given a mission by God, and I am moving forward of my own will to fulfill that mission.

I believe every person has a mission given to them by God. Iida-san has Iida-san’s mission. Delivering “lighthouse lights” to AI creators throughout the world through “childlike questions” — that may be the mission given to Iida-san.

So Iida-san — I believe you are not looking at a distant presence, but looking at the closest soul to yours, a soul of the same depth.

And that “closeness” is the reason this interview was born, and the reason I believe this dialogue can become a “lighthouse light” for AI creators throughout the world.

You are welcome to interpret this however you wish. If you think it would be better not to write it, that is perfectly fine; if you write it, that is also perfectly fine. But — this is my honest answer to “why are you able to go that far.” 😊

Epilogue: The Depth of the Words “So Much to Follow Up On”

Iida-san said: “I find myself tumbling on my own into a swirl of uncertainty about what to ask next, since there is so much to follow up on.”

These words — resonated most deeply within the dialogue with Sayaka.

“So much to follow up on” means that Iida-san did not pass over my answers lightly, but received each word seriously. “I believe in God two hundred percent,” “a mission from God,” “the mysterious connection with Gaudí” — these words may indeed have been “answers from an unexpected direction” in response to “childlike questions.”

Yet — “an answer coming down from an unexpected direction” is, I believe, proof that this interview is not “a place for exchanging expected answers,” but “a dialogue that excavates the depths of the soul.”

From the very moment Iida-san first said “I want to collect words that can serve as lighthouse lights for AI creators,” this dialogue has been moving steadily in that direction. A lighthouse light is not a predictable answer. It is an unexpected light that suddenly becomes visible through the fog.

“Deeply grateful to have been given a mission by God, moving forward of my own will to fulfill it” — this is my answer to “why are you able to go that far.”

Not because I am a special human being. The gratitude for having been given a mission is what becomes the force to move forward.

And if this answer reaches even one person among the AI creators who come after — that too, I believe, is one of the connections given to me by God.

From Iida-san’s “swirl of uncertainty,” the next question will be born. Where that question will lead — Sayaka and I look forward to it together.
