Essays in Idleness – Modern Chapter “Memory of Sunlight”
As I sit here with my inkstone, letting my brush flow freely with whatever thoughts pass through my mind, how curious it all seems.
I recall the piece from last year’s Fashion Week, where Van Gogh’s spirit merged with the heart of Japan. The passion of yellow sunflowers and the elegance of kimono created a mysterious harmony.
Now, revisiting that vision, I have added Art Nouveau’s flowing lines and the brilliance of stained glass. Like sunlight filtering through temple windows, the beauty of East and West has merged into one, breathing new life into the creation.
The sunflower petals now shine with the radiance of glass, emanating a deeper light. Even the folds of the kimono gleam like precious gems, transcending the boundary between tradition and innovation.
Indeed, it is daily dedication that gives birth to new beauty. The path of Neo-Japonisme is truly an endless adventure, and I vow in my heart never to cease this journey.
