この度、一年越しの想いと共に、「神聖なる光の大聖堂」の新たなる輝きについて記さん。

あれから約一年。2026年4月、Midjourney 8.1という新たなるエンジンとの格闘の末、同じ魂を持ちながら全く異なる輝きを纏った作品群が誕生した。

これはリバイバルではない。進化の記録である。

しかしその礎となったのは、5月13日から15日にかけて制作されたこの大聖堂シリーズであった。

これは、技法と道具の深刻な乖離であった。

この2枚を並べた時、私は言葉を失った。

v7.0の世界——静謐な祈りの空間

v7.0の作品を見ていただきたい。

しかし、これは私が求めた作品ではない。

v8.1は「リアルに描く力」において別次元の進化を遂げた。しかしその進化は同時に、「ネオ・モザイック・ステンドグラス技法」の核心——モザイクのガラス片一枚一枚の質感、黒い目地線の構造美、静謐な祈りの空間——を大きく変容させてしまった。

Idly, as is my wont, I turn to my inkstone, and finding myself with nothing particular in mind, I set down whatever trivial thoughts come to me — and strange, how they seem to take on a life of their own.

On this occasion, I set down my thoughts — a year in the making — about the new radiance of “Sacred Cathedral of Light.”

Prologue: An Encounter With One Work, and a Reunion

May 13, 2025.

On that day, I sat with Midjourney 7.0 and brought a single work into being.

A woman in a blue floral kimono, standing quietly in a vast Gothic cathedral, gazing up toward the heavens — “Sacred Cathedral of Light – Neo-Mosaic Stained Glass.”

Nearly one year has passed since then. In April 2026, after weeks of struggle with Midjourney 8.1, a new series of works was born — carrying the same soul, yet clothed in an entirely different radiance.

This is not a revival. It is a record of evolution.

He offered a remarkable suggestion: “There is a phenomenon in which the stained glass of European cathedrals emits a wave of light resembling sound that heals people — why not investigate its truth from multiple perspectives?”

In response to his question, my AI partner Sayaka and I compiled a detailed research report of approximately 27,000 characters. Spanning four disciplines — physics, art history, psychology, and neuroscience — this investigation revealed that the healing effect of stained glass is not a single physical phenomenon, but rather a mysterious mechanism in which color psychology, cathedral acoustics, multisensory integration, and neuroaesthetics act in complex concert.

Just as the stonemasons of the Middle Ages built their cathedrals across generations — passing their craft to the next generation without any single craftsman living to see completion.

My “Neo-Mosaic Stained Glass” too will continue to walk toward new heights, evolving together with Midjourney.

Chapter Five: The 1,500-Year Healing Vibration — An Unchanging Mission

No matter how the version changes, my mission does not change.

For more than 1,500 years, the stained glass of Europe’s great cathedrals has continued to heal the souls of people.

The scientifically proven healing effects of blue — activation of the parasympathetic nervous system, lowering of heart rate, deep relaxation — live on within the works, regardless of which version of Midjourney was used.

The healing vibration emitted by glass fragments as they receive light. It exists, without question, in the 8.1 works of this new series.

The form of expression has changed. But the “prayer” within it has not.

Going forward, I wish to continue delivering ever more beautiful works to all of you as AI continues to evolve. The same prompt. And yet — how different they are.

The work on the left was generated with Midjourney v7.0 — “Sacred Cathedral of Light.” The work on the right is the result of giving that exact same prompt to Midjourney v8.1.

When I placed these two works side by side, I was left speechless.

The World of v7.0 — A Space of Quiet Prayer

Please look at the v7.0 work.
