“Neo-Japonesque Diptych – Mucha’s Valentine – Neo-Mosaic Stained Glass”
“I want you — the man I love — to receive both my beautiful self adorned with roses, and my love.” Valentine’s Day, a uniquely Japanese culture in which women offer love to men. That pure feeling is expressed through the beauty of deep crimson roses and kimono. The language of roses — “affection,” “passion,” “beauty” — is precisely the message this work wishes to convey. A woman adorns herself with roses and confesses her love in her most beautiful form. The brilliance of that moment has been crystallized into eternal art. And within this diptych are held “two expressions” dwelling within a single love. The left panel: “quiet affection” — a warm and gentle confession of love, burning surely within the depths of the heart while kept secret. The right panel: “burning passion” — a confession of love that overflows like a flame, impossible to hold back. This contrast is the greatest essence of this diptych.
This work holds a special position within the “Neo-Japonesque” series created using the world’s first “Neo-Mosaic Stained Glass Technique” (established May 27, 2025). In March 2026, this work was exhibited at the “JAPONICA” exhibition held at the Linda Farrell Gallery in Paris — the historic work that marked the international debut of the “Neo-Mosaic Stained Glass Technique.” With the confirmed inclusion in “Art Maison International Vol.31” (scheduled for publication March 2027), this work will be inscribed in perpetuity within a catalogue preserved in the world’s foremost museums and university libraries, including the Louvre, the British Museum, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
A woman in a kimono woven of white and gold mosaic glass. Her hair adorned with red roses and golden kanzashi, she closes her eyes in quiet serenity and bows her head. The expression on her profile is gentle — yet surely holding within the depths of her heart the warmth of a love kept secret. Each individual fragment of white and gold glass emits a soft light, quietly embodying “feelings of love that cannot be put into words.” Deep crimson roses and white petals blooming in abundance behind her envelop her as the center of a floral sanctuary. Her bearing embodies “simply being beautiful, with the words of confession kept within the heart” — the pure feminine heart that wishes to show its most beautiful self before the one it loves.
A woman in a garment clad in deep crimson, black and gold mosaic tiles. Her hair adorned with large red roses, she likewise closes her eyes and bows her head. Yet the atmosphere her garment emits is entirely different from the left panel. The powerful contrast woven from the three colors of deep crimson, black and gold embodies the unstoppable flame of passion overflowing from within the heart. Red roses overlap layer upon layer behind her, and the entire world is dyed in a burning deep crimson. This is the embodiment of the moment: “I can no longer hide it. I want to tell you of my love, right now” — the irrepressible impulse of love blazing up together with the flame of roses.
【二連画全体:愛の告白、二つの表情 / The Diptych as a Whole: A Confession of Love in Two Expressions】
Two women face each other, both with their eyes closed, both bowing their heads. This is not “opposition.” It is “resonance.” The “quiet affection” of the left panel and the “burning passion” of the right — these two are in truth “the two faces of love” that simultaneously dwell within the heart of the same woman. Wishing to be quietly beautiful before the one she loves, while at the same time an unstoppable passion burns within her heart. That contradictory yet true emotion — this is the pure essence of love that a woman carries within her heart on Valentine’s Day. The elegance of Eastern white and gold and the passion of Western red and black meet quietly at the center. This “moment of encounter” is precisely “the essence of love” that Mucha devoted his entire life to depicting, and also “the language of prayer” with which stained glass has spoken to human souls for 1,500 years.
About the “Neo-Mosaic Stained Glass Technique”
The “Neo-Mosaic Stained Glass Technique” used in this work is the world’s first technique established by Koki Masato on May 27, 2025. The precise structure woven from countless mosaic glass tesserae, the structural beauty of black grout lines, and the complex optical effects created by the transmission and reflection of light — all of these unite to reproduce and expand, as digital art, the “healing vibration” that traditional stained glass possesses.

How to Experience This Work
The true magnificence of this work can only be fully experienced when viewed on a large PC monitor, or as a physical photo acrylic print produced by FLATLABO — Japan’s world-leading printing artisan — under natural sunlight. The white and gold mosaic glass and the deep crimson and black mosaic tiles each radiate their own brilliance as they catch the light, and the two expressions of “quiet affection” and “burning passion” reach the viewer’s heart quietly, yet certainly — in that moment, we are confident you will feel, with your entire being, the “healing vibration” that the “Neo-Mosaic Stained Glass Technique” emits.

サイズ:横72.7cm×高さ72.7cm(二連画・1点)

Koki Masato’s Modern Tsurezuregusa”The Craftsman’s Skill Does Not Waver When the Person Changes — A Record of Trust with FLATLABO” 335
Welcome to the creative world of Koki Masato!
AI VISUAL MASTERPIECE — Koki Masato October 25, 2026
In the natural flow of idle thoughts, I turn to my inkstone. As I set down whatever drifts through my mind, the words spill forth in ways that seem almost bewildering.
October 23, 2026.
“Neo-Japonesque Diptych – Mucha’s Valentine – Neo-Mosaic Stained Glass” arrived at home.
The moment I unwrapped it — for the first time in a long while, a sound escaped me.
This work is the piece to be exhibited at Le Salon 2027 (Art Capital), held at the Grand Palais in Paris from February 18 to 21, 2027. Participation has been granted in a special selection category as an AI artist in the world’s oldest open exhibition, with 360 years of history. It was Alain Bazard who stood before the work at the JAPONICA exhibition in Paris in March 2026 and said: “A striking diptych of very high quality, reminiscent of Mucha’s style — a true hymn to beauty.” Those words opened the door to this exhibition. The work is also confirmed for inclusion in Art Maison International Vol.31, scheduled for permanent preservation in the Louvre, the British Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and other leading institutions worldwide. This single work is, for us, the door to the world.
I. A Trial Called Uncertainty
This printing commission came with one source of anxiety.
We had received word that Eriko Kitahara, who had been handling our printing at FLATLABO, was away. Kitahara-san had always accounted for the color shift caused by the properties of 5mm-thick acrylic, making fine adjustments to the brightness of the data before printing. The specific values and methods she used — I did not know them.
To print our most important work — the piece for the Grand Palais in February — with Kitahara-san absent. Honestly, this uncertainty was not a small thing.
II. A Careful Exchange with Kaneko-san
The person who stepped forward as the new contact was Kaneko-san.
From the very first email, he was thorough. Confirming the five-layer structure specifications, the size of the aluminum composite board, requesting a photograph of the side finish — he advanced carefully, confirming each detail one by one.
And there were words that gave us great reassurance.
“I have received all of the adjustment data including the adjustment layers from the works Kitahara produced in the past. I will follow those in making adjustments, so please be at ease.”
Kitahara-san’s technique had been preserved as data. The craftsman’s work had not disappeared when the person changed.
After that, we received notice that the signature position was too close to the edge. We corrected the data and resent it immediately. The PDF color proof showed no issues with color or brightness. Shipped on October 21st, arriving on the 23rd with one extra day added for home delivery — everything proceeded exactly as planned.
III. Beneath the Sunlight
October 23rd was clear.
There is no guarantee that the day a work arrives will be sunny. Yet that day, a clear autumn light was falling.
The moment we held the photo acrylic surface up to the sunlight — it sparkled, glittering like fine metallic dust.
Countless mosaic tesserae, each catching the light from a different angle, each glowing in a different color. As though light were radiating from within, like genuine stained glass. This can never be reproduced on a monitor screen — it is an optical miracle that only a physical printed work can possess.
We recorded this moment on video. We hope to share it as a film in the days ahead.
IV. Quiet Work Supports the World
Looking back — none of the exchanges in this process were dramatic in the least.
Confirming the signature position, the PDF color proof, entering the delivery address, adjusting the arrival date. Each step was quiet, unassuming work. Yet upon that quiet accumulation, the work to be exhibited at the Grand Palais was born.
FLATLABO’s work is the same.
Possessing world-class RGB printing technology, yet never asserting it loudly. Simply finishing each piece carefully and reliably, one by one. From Kitahara-san to Kaneko-san — the technique and the attitude were passed on, even as the person changed.
The work of an artist and the work of a printing craftsman — at their core, they are the same.
Quiet, sincere, steady accumulation.
That accumulation will one day reach the world as a “healing vibration.” And that will be one step toward the realization of world peace.
