コンセプト—愛を贈る / Concept—Giving Love
コンセプトは「薔薇で着飾った美しい私と、私の愛を、愛する男性に受け取って欲しい。」である。バレンタインデーという、女性から男性へ愛を贈る日本独自の文化。その純粋な想いを、真っ赤な薔薇と着物の美で表現した。薔薇の花言葉は「愛情」「情熱」「美」—まさに、この作品が伝えたいメッセージである。女性が薔薇で着飾り、最も美しい姿で愛を告白する。その瞬間の輝きを、永遠の芸術として結晶化させた。
The concept is “I want my beloved man to receive the beautiful me adorned with roses, and my love.” Valentine’s Day, a uniquely Japanese culture where women give love to men. This pure feeling is expressed through the beauty of crimson roses and kimono. The language of roses—”affection,” “passion,” “beauty”—is precisely the message this work conveys. A woman adorns herself with roses and confesses her love in her most beautiful form. That moment of radiance is crystallized as eternal art.
この二連画は、アール・ヌーヴォーの巨匠アルフォンス・ミュシャが愛したジャパニズムを現代的に再解釈し、日本人の愛の本質を表現した作品です。左の美人は黄金色の背景に赤い薔薇を配し「静かな愛情」を、右の美人は深紅の背景に燃えるような赤い薔薇を配し「燃えるような愛情」を表現しています。この対比は、日本人の愛が持つ二面性—表面は控えめでありながら、内面では激しく燃える情熱—を象徴しています。
This diptych contemporarily reinterprets the Japonisme beloved by Art Nouveau master Alphonse Mucha, expressing the essence of Japanese love. The left beauty, set against a golden background with red roses, embodies “quiet affection,” while the right beauty, against a deep crimson background with passionate red roses, represents “burning love.” This contrast symbolizes the duality of Japanese love—outwardly modest yet inwardly burning with intense passion.
世界初の「ネオ・モザイック・ステンドグラス技法」は、2024年9月のフランス・シャルトル大聖堂での衝撃的な出会いから始まり、9ヶ月の研究と20万枚以上の試作を経て、2025年5月27日に確立されました。この技法による作品は、無数のガラス片が織りなすモザイク表現、見る角度によって変化する表情、そして1500年のステンドグラスが持つ「癒しの波動」を現代に再現しています。本作品は、技法確立以降の継続的な研究により、ミュシャの着物姿の画風をさらに深化させた成果です。
The world’s first “Neo-Mosaic Stained Glass technique” began with a shocking encounter at Chartres Cathedral in France in September 2024, and was established on May 27, 2025, after 9 months of research and over 200,000 prototypes. Works created with this technique recreate the mosaic expression woven by countless glass fragments, expressions that change with viewing angle, and the “healing waves” possessed by 1500-year-old stained glass in modern times. This work represents the deepened achievement of Mucha’s kimono beauty style through continuous research since the technique’s establishment.

Across a hundred years, the kimono-clad beauties Mucha dreamed of are revived here and now.
アール・ヌーヴォーの巨匠アルフォンス・ミュシャは、日本の着物を着た女性の美しさに深く魅了されながらも、それを自身の作品として完成させることはなかった。彼の作品には、曲線美、装飾性、そして女性の優雅さが溢れているが、着物という和の要素は、彼の夢の中にのみ存在していた。
The Art Nouveau master Alphonse Mucha was deeply fascinated by the beauty of women in Japanese kimono, yet never completed works depicting them. His works overflow with curved beauty, decorative elements, and feminine grace, but the kimono—this essence of Japanese culture—existed only in his dreams.
私、光希まさとは、2025年5月27日に世界初の「ネオ・モザイック・ステンドグラス技法」を確立して以来、多くの作品を制作してきた。その中で、ミュシャの着物姿の画風研究を継続し、今日に至るまでその成果を積み重ねてきた。
I, Koki Masato, have created many works since establishing the world’s first “Neo-Mosaic Stained Glass technique” on May 27, 2025. Throughout this journey, I have continued research on Mucha’s style with kimono figures, accumulating results to this day.
この「ミュシャのバレンタイン」シリーズは、2026年2月14日のバレンタインデーに向けた、その研究の集大成である。

Through detailed and beautiful stained glass, I cherish the expression of a slightly nostalgic, healing Showa-era atmosphere representative of Mucha, yet I have also incorporated the radical newness that emerges from the image.
ミュシャの作品が持つ、優美でありながらどこか懐かしい雰囲気—それを現代の技術で再現しつつ、21世紀の新しい美意識を注ぎ込んだ。真っ赤な薔薇の大胆な配置、金色に輝くモザイクの複雑な模様、そして女性の横顔に宿る現代的な美しさ。
The elegant yet somehow nostalgic atmosphere that Mucha’s works possess—while recreating this with modern technology, I have infused it with 21st-century aesthetic sensibility. The bold arrangement of deep red roses, complex patterns of golden mosaics, and the contemporary beauty dwelling in the woman’s profile.

ミュシャとの対話—百年の夢の実現 / Dialogue with Mucha—Realizing a Hundred-Year Dream
折しも江戸の都にては「ミュシャ展」も開催され、世間としても芸術として注目されゆく中、ミュシャとの対話で—ミュシャの百年の夢を実現する作品に和風の着物を取り入れ、「ネオジャポネスク」を意識した、来年のバレンタインデーのための作品である。
As a Mucha exhibition was being held in Edo (Tokyo), and society’s attention was drawn to his art, through dialogue with Mucha—these works for next year’s Valentine’s Day realize Mucha’s hundred-year dream by incorporating Japanese kimono, conscious of “Neo-Japonesque.”
ミュシャ自身が日本文化に魅了され、ジャポニズムの影響を受けていたことを考えれば、この作品はむしろ、彼の未完の夢を完成させる試みなのである。彼が描いた「四季」や「黄道十二宮」のような装飾的な美しさを、和の要素と融合させ、新たな境地へと昇華させた。
Considering that Mucha himself was fascinated by Japanese culture and influenced by Japonisme, these works are rather an attempt to complete his unfinished dream. I have fused the decorative beauty he depicted in works like “The Seasons” and “The Zodiac” with Japanese elements, sublimating them to a new realm.
いささか「流行りもの」に便乗せし形となりぬれども、これは単なる便乗にあらず。百年の時を超えた創作的対話なり。
Though this may appear to ride the wave of trends, it is not mere opportunism—it is a creative dialogue across a hundred years.
